Lake Tial

This lake lies directly between the main town of Kinergh, Tisloch Town, on the west and High Hold, in the Elfan Holds, on the east. The Beldethian River flows through the lake and the Holbrook River drains into it from the west.

The lake itself is deep and cold. Many river boats and small fishing boats are commonly found on the lake. The lake itself is relatively safe for travel. Several boats based at the port of Tisloch Town regularly patrol the lake but no incidents have happened in years aside from small amounts of smuggling. Monsters have not been reported in the lake for several generations. Several small islands dot the lake's surface but none are known to be particularly interesting. A few bear the ruins of ancient buildings probably dating to centuries ago. Whether they contain anything of interest is unknown.

One persistent rumor is that during the last great invasion around 649 CY a Cardolan treasure ship sank somewhere near the western shore of the lake, but the exact location is unknown, nor is it certain what the ship was carrying or even if the stories are true.
